participant-led evaluation.

The Evaluation Team delivered a Participant-Led Evaluation designed to strengthen Amnesty International UK’s understanding of local realities. The participants of the programme were better positioned to surface information not easily accessed by external evaluators, including specific insights into the effectiveness of the Football Welcomes programming.

This Participant-Led approach moved beyond extractive evaluation models towards meaningful co-design and participation. The approach aligned with feminist principles by challenging the evaluators' biases and assumptions, enhancing reflexivity and promoting a deeper understanding of the local context.
